Greens MP Michael Berkman says Labor’s $50M pokies tax break announced today is putting corporate profits ahead of everyday Queenslanders, again.
“It’s incredibly disappointing that this Labor Government is looking after their biggest corporate donors better than they’re looking after workers.
“It’s tax holidays for big mining and gambling corporations and pay cuts for teachers and nurses.
“What Queenslanders need is not dangerous, addictive pokies sucking our communities dry. “Queenslanders need good, secure jobs, affordable housing and well-funded health services.
“But instead of making big corporations pay for our post-COVID recovery, this Government is going after ordinary workers doing it tough.”
