A block of land at 124 Sherwood Road, Toowong, has come up for sale and it contains the last remnants of dense vegetation in the area.
In response to local residents' concerns, I've asked the Brisbane City Council to purchase this property, save the trees and dedicate it as a community venue.
In my view, this would be a great investment in the community, rather than letting it fall into the hands of a developer.
