Brisbane City Council has proposed two new footbridges, from West End to Toowong and from West End to St Lucia (both to cater for pedestrians and cyclists). BCC is currently seeking feedback from elected representatives and local residents about the preferred locations of these two bridges. In order for Michael to advocate for the best option for Maiwar residents, he's attempting to speak to as many of them as possible before the consultation period concludes. As part of this process, we're running a doorknock in St Lucia, to ask residents what they think. We'll have a simple script, and give volunteers answers to FAQs, as well as brief written surveys to collect helpful data.
We'll meet at 9:30 at Banksia Park in St Lucia, and run a 30 minute training and briefing session, then give you a few streets to hit up, relevant information and surveys, and send you out! Everyone who wants to be will be partnered up with another volunteer. We'll head back around 12 for a debrief and a cold drink.
If you have any questions about participating, please get in touch with Clare in Michael's electorate office.
