I'm hosting a community bike ride to show local support for a completed Indooroopilly bikeway. Please join us for a relaxed ride from Ambrose Treacy College in Indooroopilly to Robertson Park in Taringa. At the park, hear from a few speakers and have a coffee on me from coffee cart Aflorabora.
People of all ages and confidence levels riding bicycles, scooters, and other micromobility options are welcome. You can ride on the road if you are comfortable, or the footpath if the road doesn't suit you.Feel free to join for just the ride, or just the coffee catchup afterwards.
8:20am: Meet at the corner of Bridge St and Twigg St, Indooroopilly
8:30am: Ride begins
8:45am: Arrive at Robertson Park for speeches about the bikeway, free coffee from the Aflorabora cart, and a catch-up with your neighbours Feel free to join for just the ride, or just the coffee catchup afterwards.
This event is supported by Bris West BUG, Indooroopilly State High P&C, Space 4 Cycling, and Elizabeth Watson-Brown, Member for Ryan.
MORE ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
We’re pushing for Council and the State Government to work together to complete the Indooroopilly Bikeway. This would involve a separated bikeway linking the Indooroopilly Riverwalk with the St Lucia Esplanade Bikeway via Lambert Rd.
This bikeway extension would encourage more people to leave their car at home, including families at local schools and people who cycle to Indooroopilly Station and the University of Queensland. You can find out more and get in touch with decision makers here.
