Queensland Greens MP Michael Berkman has called on Queensland Labor to scrap Adani after reports that Adani has illegally started work on the Carmichael mine.
“No more second chances. Queensland Labor must scrap Adani.
“While Queensland farmers suffer, this billionaire mining company seems to be illegally taking groundwater.
“We’re standing with traditional owners and millions of Australians who are tired of Labor’s special deals for Adani.
“Million year-old sacred springs aren’t the playthings of billionaire mining companies.
“This outrage shows the Adani group can’t be trusted, and it shows the Queensland government isn’t up to the job of keeping them in line.
